Savannah, Georgia - Maxine Dodson Patterson, 73, died January 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Bainbridge, Georgia, daughter of the late Winston and Lillie Mae Sellers Dodson. She lived in Bainbridge many years prior to moving to Nashville, Tennessee where she was a Real Estate Agent. She lived in Savannah for fifteen years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Patterson was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful caregiver to many. Her husband, Charles Edwin Patterson, Sr. preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen Elaine Patterson and Donna Lynn Patterson Hall both of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Edwin "Ed" Patterson, Jr. and Virginia Patterson of Rincon; sisters, Jimmie Williams of Bainbridge, GA; Charlotte Herring of Bainbridge, GA; Gail Brown of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Charles Edwin Patterson, III, Steven Marcello Patterson and Thomas Joseph Patterson all of Rincon; and several nieces, nephews and a special friend, George Sherman of Savannah.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2010 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A private burial will be in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
